Dear Industry Partner:

We are pleased to invite you to participate as an exhibitor and/or corporate sponsor at Midwestern Vascular 2008, the 32nd Annual Meeting of the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, the premier regional vascular society.  The meeting returns to the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, WI, September 11-13, 2008.

Over 200 members and guest physicians are expected to attend the 2008 Annual Meeting.  These physicians are vascular specialists and general surgeons who have an interest in vascular disease, both from private practice and teaching institutions.  Vascular nurses, technicians, physician assistants, and vascular fellows in training also are invited to attend the meeting.  For two years, the endovascular course has been integrated with the main meeting.  We will continue the format of broad coverage of both open and endovascular topics throughout the meeting.

Regular exhibits will cost $2,500.  In addition to the exhibit fee, again this year, the Society is offering three levels of sponsorship:  Gold Level for $10,000 and the Sliver Level Exhibit  for $5,000.  We hope that this year your company will consider participating at the Silver or Gold Level.

Space is very limited.  Therefore, your early response will enable to accommodate your participation. 

Highlights of the Meeting:

1. Again this year the Society is excited and pleased to offer companies an additional opportunity of a Dedicated Evening Symposium for $15,000.  This will be limited to two parallel offerings on the evening of Thursday, September 11tj, immediately following the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall.  The Society will assist in the promotion of the Symposia via blast email to Society members and potential participants, and will include a company provided flyer or announcement in the participant registration packets.
2. The meeting will feature an exciting educational session that will include new innovations and techniques in endovascular and vascular surgery which will be integrated with the abstract presentations. 
3. Attendees have the opportunity to visit your company’s exhibit during prime exhibit hours in the morning and throughout the day, and also during the Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, September 6th.  Additionally, we encourage all company representatives to attend the Friday evening function that is currently being planned. These functions will help maximize your time with key decision makers and make the most of your support and participation.
4. Based on statistics from the 2002 through 2006 Annual Meetings, the geographic distribution of Annual Meeting participants are 28% from Illinois; 18% from Ohio; 8% from Missouri; 8% from Wisconsin and 38% from other areas including Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana and other cities outside the Society’s geographic area.
5. About 25% of the physicians who attend the Meeting are in private practice with the remainder coming from major teaching institutions and clinics.  More than 95% of the physicians who attend have specialties in general, vascular and endovascular surgery.
6. Since 2005, over 70 Vascular Trainees/Fellows joined the Society as Candidate Members and over half attended the Annual Meeting.
