JON S. MATSUMURA, 2009 - 2010 PRESIDENT
It’s an honor and privilege to serve as the president of your Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society.
There is a long heritage to fulfill in the educational and service missions of the Society. As those of you that have recently attended the Annual Meetings have noticed, the Society is growing, and the meetings have become broader with balanced presentation of new technology in addition to the peer reviewed plenary research papers. The research programs presented at our Annual Meetings are first class, and I am certain will continue to be vibrant and scientifically based.
The excellent attendance for the table top workshops is testimony that the membership enjoys this format. The Executive Council plans to continue to try innovative formats for learning by our membership. I will work hard to support the missions of the Society and look forward to finding new ways that the MVSS can provide benefits to you and your practice.
